It’s beautiful to see lilac in flower, but I’m really disappointed that it’s flowering a whole month earlier than it’s supposed to. What will we do come the glorious 25th?

It flowered early last year too. I had to make my own out of beads for the Glorious 25th…
I’ve been looking speculatively at young lilacs in the garden centre, which aren’t in bud yet, and wondering if I could magically coax them into flowering at the appropriate time…
I can almost smell it from here! No flowers to be seen yet in The Netherlands.
