This is a new, and somewhat unusual, page. I’m going to trial it for a few months and see how it goes…
INSPIRATION BY POST
Regular readers will know that I started a project called Inspiration by Post at the beginning of 2010. The project went well, and I displayed the first six pieces at The Brentford Gallery during the ArtHouse Open Studios event last June. I had to put the project on the back burner over the latter part of 2010, but I’m looking forward to picking it up again soon.
If you would like to submit something for the Inspiration by Post project then please send your random piece of inspiration to:
Please mark the back of your envelope with ‘Inspiration by Post’. Oh, and I am in the UK, so if you’re sending from overseas then please add that to the address!
OTHER DONATIONS
I love to reuse and reinvent things which might otherwise just be thrown away. Kind people in the past have sent me things including yarn they have no further use for, pretty packaging they can’t bear to throw away, old books and calendars, and various other things. If you have something that you’d like to see reused then please feel free to send it to the above address. I can’t promise to use things immediately (I often hoard things for a year or more until the right idea crops up), but it will get used eventually! Please include your address with the item you donate – if I use it to make a book or other item which ends up in my Etsy shop then I will send you something to say thank you.
Alternatively, and because it does seem to be in vogue these days, below you will find a button to donate actual cash via PayPal. I can’t imagine that anyone would want to do that, but if you do feel the urge then any donation would be gratefully received and used to experiment with new projects or materials. Or, you could make a random donation and tell me what to do with it (i.e. bake a cake, buy a rubber stamp and make something using it – whatever takes your fancy!)
