Our host for this month is Jenna over at Timballoo, click here to visit her blog and find out who else is playing along.
I’ve actually been overwhelmed with inspiration this month so it was difficult to work out what to photograph for this category, in the end I settled on some very recent inspiration which is still very much in the early stages…
Something I made
Something a little different this time… I’ve ignored all the crafty stuff I’ve made in my studio in favour of photographing these baked apple chips I made – surprisingly successful for a first attempt!
On Sunday I went to my local cinema, which was celebrating its 4th birthday. The Lexi is a fabulous little cinema and always feels very cosy, especially so on Sunday as they had added blankets to the seats. This shot is of the balcony area which my fella and I had all to ourselves – the main film was E.T. so it was extra blissful to snuggle up under a blanket and feel like a child again! (The afternoon opened with a showing of The Red Balloon, which explains the balloons).
My studio seemed the natural place to look for supplies to photograph, but I treated myself to some new bath salts this month and just love how they look all lined up on the bathroom shelf…
Ok, so this photo doesn’t scream hallowe’en at first glance… but what about if I tell you it was taken on hallowe’en, outside a catacomb? We went on a night-time tour of the Kensal Green catacombs last night and I took this photo just as we exited the building. It came out amazingly well, that’s the original shot, no tinkering with filters required!
Many thanks to Jenna for hosting last month, and I’m sure she’ll be picking her favourites over the next week so do keep an eye on her blog to find out if your photo is one of them! I will be choosing the topics for November, but I’m a little disorganised right now so I’m hoping to put them up here by Saturday at the latest.
