Crafty Photo Scavenger Hunt: December
Posted in Crafty Photo Scavenger Hunt, tagged crafty photo scavenger hunt, diario, inspiration, the awesome lady, the goldhawk project, tulsi crafts on December 31, 2012| 2 Comments »
I’ll start off with a list of those people who are taking part – please do visit their blogs and have a look at their entries for this month. If they haven’t posted their photographs yet then please be patient and check again later!
- Rachel at The Awesome Lady
- Ruth at The Goldhawk Project
- Margot at Tulsi Crafts
- Sally at Diario
- Sara at Cinders & Rain
- Nicole at Gok’s TogBlog
Inspiration
Sadly December hasn’t been so much about inspiration as motivation, and at this time of year that motivation is very banal…
Something I made
A very last minute photo, and item, for this category – I finished this book about ten minutes ago, my last notebook of 2012!
Gifts
Like a complete numpty I forgot to take photos of any presents while they were wrapped up… so here’s a close up of one of the beautiful vintage tins that my sister-in-sin gave me.
Tradition
What’s more traditional than baubles on a tree?
Motif: Stars
And to contrast with the traditional photo, here’s one of my rather simplified tree.
As usual I’ll be doing the rounds and will pick my favourites from the other blogger’s photos and will post them on here within the next fortnight.
What’s happening next month with the Crafty Photo Scavenger Hunt? Sara over at Cinders & Rain is our host for January, so please pop along to her blog tomorrow and see what topics she’s chosen.

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
4,329 films were submitted to the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. This blog had 13,000 views in 2012. If each view were a film, this blog would power 3 Film Festivals

Sunday Sketchblog #45

This week I have mainly been opening presents, eating too much rich food, and listening to my current favourite song. Tell Me Your Name by Evora. It’s a beautiful song, chilled but still poignant. Love it. Go listen to it, and do buy it too.
The other offering from my sketchbook this week is a slightly different take on EDM #15…
Still working with a bog standard biro, will the new year bring a renewed use of colour? We’ll have to wait and see!

CPSH – November favourites
Posted in Crafty Photo Scavenger Hunt, tagged crafty photo scavenger hunt, dhaka, diario, fireworks, inspiration, the awesome lady, the goldhawk project, tulsi crafts on December 26, 2012| 2 Comments »
Many apologies for being SO late choosing my favourites for November, but December has been a busy month. Without further ado, here they are…
Inspiration
Ruth‘s shot of the skyline in Salzberg caught my eye, and just goes to show that you can take a photo into the light!
Something I made
I really liked Rachel’s wish jar, but Sally just edged into the top spot with her wonderfully starry cake 🙂
Fireworks
Shame on those of you who didn’t manage to get photos of actual fireworks – I managed to get two! Ruth‘s shot of some hot sauce made me laugh, but I’m afraid the favourite in this category is the only one of real fireworks…
History
Margot‘s shot of a monument in Dhaka being devoured by a tree is beautiful, and I do love seeing nature reclaiming man-made things so this one was easy to choose 🙂
Flames
My joint favourites in this category were Ruth‘s candelabra shot, and Margot‘s photo of an old lady cooking dinner. Both of them are so beautifully atmospheric!
Thanks so much for taking part in November, I’ve enjoyed seeing all your photos and I’m just really sorry it’s taken me so long to choose my favourites. I will be less tardy with the December favourites, I promise!
Sara over at Cinders & Rain will be our host in January, so don’t forget to visit her blog next week to find out what the topics are!
